Performance

Ros performs as a freelance clarinettist specialising in klezmer throughout the UK.

Described as  “One of the UK’s leading klezmer clarinettists”, Ros studied with many of the world’s finest klezmer performers in her early career and has been instrumental in developing klezmer music within Manchester.

A graduate of The Royal Northern College of Music, Ros was awarded a bursary to study on the Performance and Communication Skills Course at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama (1994), and holds a Masters’ Degree with Distinction in Performance as Research from SOAS, University of London, supported by a scholarship from the Jewish Music Institute (2008).

University of Manchester

Ros teaches Klezmer performance at The University of Manchester in collaboration with Dr. Richard Fay, is a co-founder and ensemble tutor for the university’s Michael Kahan Kapelye ensemble and will be Head of Faculty for Klezfest 2017.
